QUEEN KINDLY has not been declared for Haydock on Thursday with connections apparently favouring a run at Nottingham next week instead.
Nicely bred with the dam being a Kingmambo daughter of an Irish Oaks winner. Inbred 3 X 3 to Sadler's Wells, which you don't see much and 4 X 4 X 5 X 5 to Northern Dancer which you do.
I think we have to deal with a bit of reality here. We all know Frankel to be one of the finest horses to tread the turf, but that is not a guarantee that his off spring will amount to much. The odds are heavily stacked against Frankel being a world class stallion. Fingers crossed though.
Have to say you and Stick do pretty well with names, although I did have to have the full name of Buzz explained to me by a forum member . Today, in the 15:25 at Fontwell, there's one going called Cor Wot An Apple. I mean, even if owner Mr.D.V.Stevens thinks this extremely comical, I think any thoroughbred racehorse deserves better than this, even down to the most dreadful donkey?
Oh, I don't know Oddy, Haafhd means "Protector", or even "Guardian of the Throne", nowt wrong with that? As you say, just rohhhhhllllls off the tongue.....like this..... الوصي على العرش
Queen Kindly has been declared for Catterick with Jamie Spencer up. Fair Eva (Roger Charlton) has been entered at Lingfield on 7 June.
Fair Eva is inbred 4 X 4 to Rainbow Quest which would have you thinking this colt could stay. But the mare won the Sprint Cup, so this filly could be fairly speedy. We'll find out.
Fair Eva has another entry for Haydock on 8 June. Frankuus (Mark Johnston) has been entered at Haydock on 9 June and 10 June at Sandown.
