Fair Eva has been declared for tomorrow at Haydock with Ryan Moore up. Frankuus has been given another option at York on Saturday.
Frankuus has been declared for Haydock tomorrow evening. The entries for the first of the Royal Ascot 2yo races should be out later today/tomorrow.
I must say these Frankel 2yo are looking fantastic, it's not only that they are winning but the style with which they do so. Have you known a first season sire make such a flying start Princess?
Frankels and Godolphin 2 year olds are on fire - but wouldn't expect anything less considering the cost of the stud fees!
It's still early days and from a small sample size we can't draw too many conclusions. Looking at the other first season sires this year the leading sires on number of individual winners (three are on 6 individual winners at the moment) are ranging from 37-60% strike rates. From what I hear people are genuinely surprised by how well they are going so early in the season. At the yearling sales people were concerned by how immature some of them looked and thought they were going to need time. "Plenty of timber" was the phrase I heard!
Had a quick look back at the stats, Galileo himself had 12 individual winners in his first crop from 44 runners (27.3% strike rate), with the first winner coming at the end of July.
Just to elaborate further, off the top of my head I think IFFRAAJ holds the record for the most first crop winners. According to RP he had 33 individual winners from 67 runners back in 2010, so just shy of 50% winners:runners.
Not sure who the horse is in the picture but it certainly isn't Fair Eva. Lazy journalism. Any guesses as to who the horse is? http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/report/726610/frankels-fair-eva-impresses
That is shocking journalism - they couldn't even be bothered to source a photo of the filly - one so beautiful as well. I bet the same journo probably put up a photo of Mike Tyson under the headline of Ali's passing
Huge thanks for creating and updating this thread Princess. Won a nice bit of money from Frankel and now 3/4 winners. Probably would've missed out on the runners if it wasn't for this thread.
