Haven't done one of these for ages.....

So what's everyone supping tonight? Mrs TR has just twisted the screw cap off a Chilean Chardonnay which is more of a french style version rather than a heavy weighted wood infused Australian style. It should go rather nicely with the Salmon.....

Here's to a point at Boro tomorrow...

    Cheers<bubbly>

We used to call it loopy soup.

My pal had a hilariously confused conversation in a pub in Dublin once. A local mentioned the ESB (meaning Electricity Supply Board) and my mate thought he meant the beer. The conversation went something like this:

My Mate: We have that in our pub.
Puzzled Local: Yes, you would have.
MM: We don't touch it though.
PL: Well no, you shouldn't, it's dangerous.
MM: I know! It's powerful alright.
PL: We had three people killed last year.
    MM: I know! Terrible stuff!

Both went away scratching their heads.

Drinking a few homebrew beers tonight, you can make really good beer with a bit of time and patience. I'll stop there though before I become boring.

Been away for work all week, so nice to have a night on the sofa!

Picpoul de Pinet, which I think I mentioned on the review thread, is slipping down alarmingly fast. Because it's very tasty. Found a good £8 version called Henpecked which is the current house white.

I've just had 3 bottles of Pride at the Friday 5 o'clock club. I might have a glass or two of Barefoot Pinot Grigio before bed.
