    Fulham v Swansea City

    Competition - Sky Bet Championship
    Venue - Craven Cottage
    Kick off - 19.45
    Date - 26 February 2020

Following their deserved 3-1 home victory against relegation threatened Huddersfield, next up for Steve Cooper’s Swansea squad is a visit to automatic promotion chasers Fulham.

Against Huddersfield, Andre Ayew, Jay Fulton and Jordon Garrick were on target as Swansea won for the first time in six league games.

Steve Cooper's side led after top scorer Ayew pounced on a rebound to claim his 13th goal of the season.

Steve Mounie's close-range strike 12 minutes from time levelled, but Fulton quickly restored Swansea's lead before Garrick sealed victory late on.

With their winless run now standing at three matches, the Terriers, in 21st, are only two points above the bottom three with a dozen games remaining, while Swansea rise to ninth, five points off the final play-off spot.

The previous evening, Aleksandar Mitrovic rescued a point for Fulham at Derby as Wayne Rooney marked his 500th appearance in English league football by scoring a Panenka penalty.

The Championship's top scorer coolly volleyed in Aboubakar Kamara's cross for his 22nd goal of the season to lift Fulham within two points of second-placed Leeds in the race for promotion.

It had looked like former England captain Rooney would take the headlines when he calmly clipped the ball past Fulham keeper Marek Rodak from the spot to give the Rams the lead after Tim Ream had been penalised for handball.

But, despite chances at both ends, neither team could find a winner, with Rodak making a number of fine saves to keep his side in the game.

The Swans have played Fulham on 66 previous occasions, winning 24, drawing 10 and losing 32 matches.

In the reverse fixture at the Liberty in November, Fulham ran out 1-2 winners:

Turning to Wednesday night’s match, I have a feeling that the Swans will rise to the occasion and return from West London with at least a point. 1-1 <cheers>

Hi Taff I can also see (hope for) us getting back a share of the spoils with a continuation of our free flowing scoring continuing. So I am going for 2-2.
I am due to be there but I now have to be in Cheshire on Wednesday so that may bugger up the plans although some of you may be pleased that the jinx (if I may use that word) may not come into play!

We were the better side when they beat us earlier this season, which was solely because they have the ability to take their chances where as we need about 13 shots to score a goal.
The only hope we have is that the 7 goals we've scored in the last 2 games isn't a freak thing and we can continue the scoring run.

Fulham to win by 2 goals probably but also have a feeling we can sneak a win.

Probably the friendliest ground in London but the traffic in and out is a mare...... Fulham’s home form is good though they lost their last home game to Barnsley 3 nil. Our away form has been above average at 23 from 16 but could have been far better if we had taken more chances and conceded less silly goals...if we play to our potential for 90 minutes we can win this one...don’t change the defence again clueless please...
