Couldn't see the flim thread so this'll do. IT. Is it any good? Might take. Mrs R tonight. She doesn't like horror so it'll be good to **** her up a bit.
Get your lad to dress up as a clown and hide in some bushes you'll be walking past on the way home ready to jump out and scream at her. Make sure someone films it too. Viral. Guaranteed.
I've been rewatching Stranger Things in time for the second season, and I forgot just how great it was. Anyone who likes their 80s Spielberg stuff, films like Poltergeist, or any of the decent stuff by Stephen King and hasn't seen Stranger Things, you need to give it a go.
Preacher is doing well, Season 2 finale next week. Dominic Cooper plays the lead role really well and it has a good supporting cast. Dark humour too, especially with Tom Cruise exploding violently when possessed by Genesis. And the descendant of Jesus being an inbred moron. Not religion, so don't even.
Good call. From what I remember, despite it being American, it was on the nail for the cultural references as child who grew up in the 80s ( I suppose I'd be a similar age to the kids in the series give or take a year or two). I'm sure a trained eye could poke holes but it felt more or less bob on the films I saw as a kid, combined with the other references/cultural icons that I had/knew/used or sought.
I'll look out for that. We seem quite adept at coming to things late tbh. Got 3 episodes of Vikings 402 to watch, and have to say, what a ****ing brilliant series it's been, right from the off. Never expected to be cheering the Vikings on, and thinking the Saxons are a bunch of pricks. Obvz already knew the French were.
