I was talking to a married gay mate of mine relatively recently, and we were talking about PDA’s in a jokey conversation. But then he said they won’t walk down the street holding hands anymore (they’ve been together about 20 years) due to abuse from strangers. Stopped me in my tracks, as I just didn’t realise that was still an actual thing, but it sadly is.
