Maybe they get the best nerd from each side and they play FIFA the rest of the season to see who finishes where.
Brighton vs Arsenal now postponed/cancelled. Arteta tested positive. Yesterday they said Arsenal weren't testing players or staff.
Perhaps a month suspension and a reboot in May. If the Euros are cancelled, which is likely given the amount of countries it is being hosted in, then this plan could work. The legal wranglings of not completing the season will be immense.
From the Telegraph: "The 1939-40 Football League season was abandoned after three matches following the outbreak of the Second World War. At the time, Blackpool were a point clear at the top of the First Division." It's rather remarkable that footballing authorities never came up with regulations to govern a suspended/voided season.
Have just seen three scenarios of what could happen if the season cannot be completed, which is rated "highly likely" . In two of them we are relegated, both also rated unlikely, but the third, most likely outcome, sees next season start with the same existing 20 clubs as at present, with the addition of Leeds and WBA to make up a 22 team league. I'd be very happy with that outcome.
So they've been known as 'Binmen' ever since that episode of Lovejoy way back when. But now it's been taken to new heights! < yikes> please log in to view this image
