Your son in law has a gun? There’s a lot I love about The States, but I couldn’t live somewhere where gun ownership is the norm. Be like living in Europe in the 16th century, when everyone carried swords. Bit weird.
Yep - living in Atlanta and the Deep South it is mandatory - not for the violence, but just as mandatory as having a pickup truck is Been to the gun range with him a few times - never felt a natural thing to do, especially when we tried out a fully automatic machine gun they had there.
The USA is funny. Here kid, have a AR-15, and a 4.6 V6 truck, but don't you dare have that Bud light until you are 21 and a man!!!!!
Anyone actually seen the video? I have and it isn’t that bad. Incredibly stupid by someone in the limelight and was always going to get a hefty punishment but obviously meant as joke
Motor racing isn't my thing but there are people who will always be remembered as icons of their sport and Stirling Moss is one of those people. His name must be known by everybody of my generation. The piece in the BBC report where he lost the title by backing up Mike Hawthorn was incredible sportsmanship. Policeman to speeding motorist "who do you think you are then, Stirling Moss?"
It is sometimes said that one of the most important things a famous person can do is make sure they die on a slow news day...impossible at the moment. Stirling won't get the coverage he deserved....a great sportsman.
It was quite strange to have Stirling Moss,Tim Brooke Taylor and Peter Bonetti all pass in the same day
So if anyone wants to watch some actual live sport, the NFL Draft is going on at the moment. It's the 5th round (of 7) so not as exciting as the earlier rounds but the time is far more sociable for us Brits.
Haven't been watching but have been following. Looks like the Vikings picked up a gem in the 1st round.
please log in to view this image As there are no sports, let me intorduce you to the greatest goal I have ever scored in Football Manager (I'm Crewe):
I didn't have a camera handy when I scored my best goal with Subbuteo. All I can tell you is that it was undoubtedly the best goal ever scored.
That's a shame. We could use some more spectacular sports moments what with the sports going out for cigarettes and never coming back.
