Nor can I because I've never been in that situation. I just don't want to criticise her much really because she played her part in a super final and she's had a stunning tournament.
Raducanu will be world number 23 when the rankings are updated on Monday. That's a leap of 127 in the space of a tournament. Before Wimbledon she was outside the top 300, needing to qualify for the slams. Now she's going to be seeded in all tournaments.
I could understand her frustration at the time. I didn't like her continuing to bitch about it afterwards. That wasn't a great look. But hopefully she'll learn. As has been said, she's a street-fighter that one.
But what was she actually complaining about. Did she expect her to carry on dripping blood all over the court?!
Not sure really. Probably about the time it was taking. As I said, can understand why it messed with her head at the time, but she was still wittering about it afterwards.
The Fernández thing. I thought I saw her smiling at one stage, before it kicked off, and wondered if her support team had perhaps goaded her into making an issue of it, right in front of Emma, in an attempt to mess her head at such a crucial time. Time outs happen in a lot of tennis matches and Fernández took one herself, after the first set, without Emma making an issue of it.
