Nadal is back for sure. He's almost as irritating to watch as Sharapova but at least not as screechy.

Can someone do us all a favour and ensure that Federer, Nadal and Rublev are knocked out before the final? Would love Thiem, Zverev or one of the surviving Argentines to make it to the final and someone new to lift to trophy. Even Anderson or Querry would be satisfactory.

Is US tennis enjoying a Renaissance, at least among their ladies with 4 semi-finalists in the US Tennis Open? Would be good to see Del Potro beat Nadal and play Anderson in the final.

Well done Sloane Stephens. Hope she wins the Singles title tomorrow night. Fingers crossed for Del Potro and Anderson tonight. If Anderson wins the Singles title, it will be a much merited win given his long contribution to the game without quite reaching the limelight.

Well done to Sloane Stephens!!! Would love the girl to really assert herself and become a great champion!!!

So if one outsider can win, maybe Kevin Anderson can win the Men's Singles. It would be just reward for his long career in the game and his story of being the nearly man, having reached numerous qfs in many tournaments without actually threatening to go any further until now. Where would tennis be without guys like Kevin Anderson?

Sloane Stephens is wonderful. One of the few individuals in sport who seems to actually enjoy being where they are, so it's not a shock that she's the one with the composure to manage a surprise final. Couldn't be happier for her...hopefully not the last.

Mcclaren and Honda end their partnership in F1. Shocked...

Mcclaren going to Renault engines while Honda will work with Torro Rosso.

Yet again another master class in how to play rugby. Seeing rugby played in this fashion is just beautiful. I cannot get enough of the All Blacks winning. Look at the second try and Barrett's offload.

Wow, putting 50 points on the Boks with no return is no mean feat, even for the AB's! Even better than last year in Durban. Beautiful rugby, I agree, and that offload by Barrett was sexual. Rieko Inane looks seriously quick too!

    GGGCanelo.... a draw.

Good fight, two excellent fighters. I scored it 7-5 to GGG. One judge got it totally wrong, 118-110 to Canelo? What planet is she on. GGG dominated middle 5/6 rounds.

GGG deserved the win, but it was close, I could maybe go with a draw but not like this. Really frustrates me when a judge gets it so wrong and ruins the event. Boxing is not fun to watch when that happens.

Here is a lovely sports story. The two people in this photo are my wife's 75 year old uncle and her cousin's 15 year old son. This week the youngster won the Kilkenny U16 County Hurling Cup Final.... 60 years after his Grandad did... it brought a tear to his eyes.

The trophy shows the year senior won it and his team photo!

She shouldn't be allowed near boxing again. 118-110 is a disgrace.
