I've never really followed German football but I decided to pick a team at random to try and get into it. C'mon Fc Nuremberg! <ok>

It'll probably be a good game. That plus a chance to maybe see a star of the future.

I absolutely love German football and some of my mates slate me for it. I'd sooner sit down and watch a Bundesliga game than an Italian or Spanish match. If it's on tele I'll watch it at work tonight <ok>.

Nowhere near as much play acting and dramatics as you see in Italian and Spanish games.

Spanish football for me is more attacking. Nothing against German football, I just prefer spanish.

More attacking, more diving, more dramatics.

The Germans are more like us in many ways. Do what needs to be done as well as possible.

Apart from Eurogoals, i don't ever get to see any German football, the closest i have come is if/when two German teams play each other in the CL or EL.

But i do know that the league is very competitive and there's usually a game (or two) which has goals galore!

I say we all rally behind Borussia Monchengladbach. Not because they're playing Sunderland today, but this used to be their home kit:

It's also slow and they have way too much time on the ball, Last season i'd say the German league was better than the Italian + Spanish league. Show's why Germany have such a good national team

I suppose it depends what type of goal you like. You see a few screamers in the Bundesliga every week, but not so many Barcelona style team goals.

And speaking of Germany, Gervinho has scored twice for Arsenal in the first 16mins of their game against Koln!

Aye, probably. First game too, ain't it. Bound to be the one to sink us in that game.

At least we aren't going to be facing Gameiro...

Colo, Jose or Tiote will keep him quiet, he'll take a while to get used to a full bloodied Premier League match (he says with fingers crossed).

As for the German Charity Shield, it's got to be better than the dross we usually get dished up in ours. With Man U v Man City this season it could be a little bit more interesting.

This! It's brilliant! Tonnes of goals, great atmospheres and all the stadiums are nearly always sold out. Plus Schalke - Dortmund is a derby so should be good :)

    Where's the stream link?
