We seem to have come full circle in our cycle of despondency, how many people really think things have “improved” since PR Paul took over from Last Chance Hurst? Clough will no doubt come to Portman Road trying to teach us a footballing lesson. 1-1 and the natives get ever more restless??
The matches themselves are a sideshow now. A savage losing streak might bring about the change we need more rapidly than treading water in the top half with the odd victory. We are just as poor, if not worse, at home. I don’t fancy us to find the net so reckon it will be 2-0 Burton.
Maybe I’m being optimistic, but a home game against a mid-table side that tries to play a bit? Could be exactly what we need. With Garbutt, Edwards, and possibly Bishop back, the 3-5-2 formation may actually start working again. I think it’s crucial that we start more creative players (even if they haven’t been in great form), as our over-reliance on set pieces is becoming predictable to defend against. I’m also hoping we will see more tempo and bite in midfield, and that means dropping Skuse. Hopefully Norwood gets a goal or two as well. I’ll opt for a fairly unconvincing 2-1 win.
I think this will be a calamitous game, errors all over the place, and a crazy 5-3 win. We're due some luck, and today will he the day for it
As long as it's in Burton's defence. Two for Garbutt, and Judge, Keane and Norwood with the goals. We'll give two penalties away, with one being saved
Clearly massive lack of confidence in many players now, many greatchances wasted, weeks of underperforming, scarecity of goals. Dont like the look of this one bit. Oh, f...k, we score!! A goal!
Right, I am gonna write doomsday comments from now on, head for the bog, have a good crap and hey ho we will score 2 more!
Just beginning to enjoy a game, when did we last say that? Holy one way route, Divine intervention! Needs some sorting in the changing room.
