Off Topic Golf

I actually broke the course record at Wentworth in 1978, I stood on it whilst p!ssed at a function.

 

I played Kingsbarns just after it opened and did hold the course record for a while.

Yeah - record high score!

 

I played today, this old turd was infront of me...hitting the ball twenty yards...then another twenty...then into the trees...all the while ignoring that he should have let me through He even ignored my waving at him I was tempted to launch one at him to be honest

 

I played the first round of golf in years today. Some young whipper snapper was on my arse the whole way round. Afte rhe called out a few times I thought "sod it, I'm gonna play even ****ter and let the little ****er wait even longer"

 

Aye but when that one whizzed passed your ears on the 8th...

 

I did feel something, passed it off as a fly

 

We caught two guys up the other day. We were really not playing well either. But had started to get out act together a bit at the same time. Got fed up waiting and played both our drives right up behind them on a long par 4 to a pair of raised eyebrows. Both then proceeded to play a 7 iron into the green and 1 putted. Next hole after a lengthy wait my mate said I'm going. No chance I can reach them. Absolutely middled it and hit the longest drive I've ever seen from him 300+ past ones ear. Safe to say they got a bit stroppy with us when we met at the next tee.

 

Used to play every weekend with a group of 3 mates and got my handicap down to 14 but all of them have now left so not been playing much.

Love the game though. Loads of fantastic courses here and the scenery helps dull the pain of a bad round. Daughter plays and wife has just started.

Need to get back into it. Find that the nature of the game makes it competitive whoever you are playing with as its always you against the course.

I need some mates! Either that or I will host a weeks golfing holiday for 3 of you.

I will provide the accommodation and select the 5 courses plus provide local transport. You just sort out your flights and beer money. I just got a flight on Qatar from Mcr for ~UKP700.

Just sneak the clubs into your car boot and tell the Mrs you are away on a 1 week business trip.

Aye I'm in. My brother played when he was out in Thailand he reckons these girl caddies knowledge is second to none. He was sinking putts from everywhere and he reckons 80% was down to the caddy.

Sadly she did not suck him off afterwards (I'm joking girls don't go all #metoo on me - oh **** I just made the offensive and misogynistic even more offensive and misogynistic)

 

They are certainly excellent at that

Bought a new driver the other day TaylorMade M1 460 Driver 2017 €200,thought it was a decent price and heading to the range after lunch today,will let you know how I get on
