As it happens, my wifey booked me in for an hours massage in a couple of weeks time. Apparently, the masseur gets you to turn over after half an hour
I like it! I had one of those days, one of the eagles was a fifty yard wedge that went it, fantastic when it happens. The other eagle was a three foot putt following a long drive at a par four. To be honest, if my putting had been better I could have shaved another four or five off my score. I'm playing on Monday, I will probably hit a 90
Exactly the same. So much variance between my best scoring form and a bad day. Always score best when I am playing sensible which is almost never because I think I'm way more capable than I actually am
If you hit long and straight with a driver, it makes reaching the green in two so much easier - sometimes with just a seven or eight iron even on longer holes. It's putting from 10 feet and closer which I struggle with, you'd think the law of averages would make a few more drop into the cup.
I remember playing in a Pro Am at Richmond and had 6 twos in the round ( 4 at par 3's and 2 at par 4's ). I ended up shooting level par so it shows how sh!te the rest of it was. Eight under for 6 holes and eight over for the other 12.....
Think we may need to have a little 606 golf day, 9 in the morning to warm up with a full round in the arvo (sarnie and a pint in between of course) and a couple of daft compos for longest drive and nearest the pin on one of the par 3’s
Not at the moment, I'm on crutches... I haven't played seriously for a many years now. When I was full time coaching everyone thought I'd play a lot but I didn't have time. I've promised myself that when I fully get over the hip operation I'll start to enjoy a few tops, duff's and shanks again. I'd probably be quite useful off about 5 or 6 these days ...<days >
Brilliant mate I could do with some coaching on my iron play. Big drives are great but I'd be mega competitive if I could stop drifting to the right with my irons. My putting has improved a lot.
