Don't know What they are like now as I have not lived back up home for years. Mick dundee's on chants ave was ok and always busy. Golden fry in town was ok but dear. Some chippy down anlaby road near the griffin did good jumbo haddocks at kicking out time. Viking chippy it may have been. Better than the one in brough at the time.

Yeah I was late to the party Castro, definitely the best chippy that I've sampled in these parts.

Hobson's which was very close to Blundell Park in Cleethorpes used to be fantastic when I used to work across there, but that was over twenty years ago so it's probably a kebab shop now!

    Me too
Its pointless going to the chippys near us.
Although had some good stuff at Borough market Fish restaurant but expensive and they thought it was hilarious when my mate wanted a cup of tea with his. Oh for the days of Gainsboro.

Heathens! How can you possibly have fish and chips without a cuppa to wash it down?

Bob Carver's currently on fire (the restaurant, not the bloke).

    Six appliances now in attendance.

    Which one?

Not sure, I know it's big and red and called Dennis.

What's the point of curry sauce? It tastes nothing like curry and its bright orange. It's just sauce.

I've had it before, I just don't get the appeal. That's not what curry tastes like, so why is it called curry sauce?

A bit after the fact, we had walleye (often misnamed pickerel) fresh from the frozen Lac LaRonge in northern Saskatchewan. One of the best tasting fresh water fish.
