I know notdistant but they think they own the bleddy place don't they. It all looks the same so how would you even know.
It's all the same to those of us for whom the North begins at Taunton Deane services. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Both Home Park cameras been out of action since Friday.....have they turned them off because our competitors are gleaning too much info about Argyle..............so that's why we're not doing so well.....maybe Derek Adams had them turned off....
Is the grandstand taking shape yet as they keep showing pics of new shop etc. Thought they would have finished grandstand first then work out for easier access etc.
The grandstand is taking shape now hp. It's gone from looking like an old tired grandstand to half an old tired grandstand. It don't half let the wind in from the Sound as welll.
Camera 1 now working after weeks of inactivity.....the only thing it tells you is that the sun is shining....straight into the lens....isn't that the first thing you do with any form of camera.....check where the sun is ?
Camera 1 only shows you what Camera 2 is showing you already....but from a different angle.....lots happening at the rear of the Grandstand but no view of that.
Just thought I'd mention I've been up there today to pick up tickets for Fleetwood. Firstly, don't think about using the car park if you need to get any PAFC tickets or merchandise. It's a bomb site now full of contractors vans. Park elsewhere. It's what the Life Centre is for. No players cars in evidence, so if you see what looks like a pop-up Mercedes dealership somewhere in the Milehouse area, that'll be them. Secondly, the webcam looking at the back of the stand seems to be permanently fogged up, so you can't see that the entire back of the stand has gone down to ground level, not just the roof
Cam 2 ....showing today Saturday, that there is work going on refurbishing the Grandstand......overtime ? Three uprights still to be cut down to new height at front of stand. Amazingly Cam 1 is actually working so that you can see something...wow. This view does show you how small the grandstand is compared with the space available, especially down the Barn Park end....so will the new dressing room (when built) be underneath the phase two corner build that end ? and will the 'new' control room be eventually down that end as well when moved to its final position ?
Phase two is probably a long way off , but yes the position of the new Players' facility is factored into the 'filling the corners in' phase if it happens.I don't see the new control room happening until Phase 2 starts, if it does.
quite a lot of money (unhelpful I know) . I think it is more about whether it is needed rather than the money. Clearly it would be aesthetically more pleasing and I would love for it to happen, but unless we need the capacity, it wouldn't make a huge lot of sense; the £millions could be put to better use elsewhere. It might just make sense to hang on for a bit and see when/if standing is allowed again and maybe build the corners as purpose built standing areas. This genuinely is my personal opinion and not based on any insider knowledge.
