He's even willing to drop his wages. We should hold out for at least £5m. I seem to remember him saying he wanted to comeback though. Dodgy translation. At first glance I read the OP as "Granero wants to play for Spain" and I thought, only in FIFA 14? please log in to view this image http://sofifa.com/player/147819-esteban-granero-molina
Yes, whatever the reasons may be, he never measured up to expectations - even if he is released by mutual consent and goes on a "free" transfer, at lower wages to his next club, together with all the others, the club flushed an awful load of good money down the toilet.
I wish the fellow well and hope we obtain a good fee to put towards signing replacements such as Thomas Ince or Mark Davies.
Dont remember too many saying that when he chiped that ball through for Adel to finish against WBA.... Oh yeah...terrible player...
The occasional swallow does not make a Summer. He was a complete and utter ineffective tart almost all of the time.
We should certainly hold out for the correct fee here £5 million minimum or he can rot in the reserves We need to generate as much income as possible from player sales to balance our books
Queens Park Rangers have set Real Sociedad a deadline of 10 July to make a decision on Esteban Granero, according to reports in Spain. The midfielder spent last season on loan at Sociedad and the club would be keen to keep him, but they do not want to pay â¬5.5million fee to secure his services on a permanent deal and a second loan spell appears to be their preference. Granero is reportedly eager to stay at Sociedad but the clubs have yet to agree on a deal. From sky sports I think we should stand firm on 5.5m or take him back. Don't see the point of sending him back on loan he will just end up running down his contract
How long is he out for? Can't believe anyone would pay anything for a player who is recovering still from a cruciate injury. £5.5m would be great business for us- £5.50 would be £5.50 more than he's worth to us on those wages.
Why on Earth should we take him back? He's damaged goods and he didn't cut it when fit, let's get what we can for him and say "Adios amigo"...
