Yup. And doumbia from Roma apparently. I think that's his name.

 

Seydou Doumbia, formerly of CSKA (as I wrote elsewhere, would prefer Ahmed Musa, but hey ho). Not had a good time at AS Roma.

Both a bit odd - 28 (Doumbia) and 29 (Siqueira). Not sure what to make of this one, other than it being a marker for a total turnaround of transfer policy.

 

Wow Doumbia a goalscorer... but he's also a bitch. So if we get him ...hopefully just for a few months.

 

Experienced players on loan represents no gamble. They are taking the relegation thing seriously. A mix of young English players and experienced European internationals. On January. Wtf is penfold getting sex with someone else's wife. Or maybe he's let cool shag his wife and she is now blowing him off like a fooking prostitute. Either way it's good news in my opinion.

 

This would be the correct positions being filled - how they'll cope with the league **** knows, but its desperation stakes right now. Be good moves. I'd rather have two experienced lads with PL experience but that may be proving difficult to find. McClaren has had an outrageous level of support - he better deliver or he will be a gonna.

 

Actually heard that Santon back to NUFC is a possible as well. Three LB's now mooted, Doumbia talks possible and SkySports claiming we could bring in three before Monday.

 

Is there any real substance to these links/rumours? Just everyone seems really excited and appears to believe that these transfers are actually happening. Apart from it being reported by the likes of the Mail, Express and Sky Italia. I haven't seen anything from what I would deem a reputable news outlet. Have I missed something?!

It being the final days of the transfer window, makes me even more dubious of these reports.

It's a shame it takes serious relegation threat to spur any kind of illusory ambition in MA.

Doumbia - worrying he did so poorly at Roma. We need someone who can start banging them in immediately. Also can't get excited about Siq... whoever. Seen nothing of him - might be as bad as Haidara for all I know.

 

I expect Pardew will outbid us at the last minute as he likes to collect left backs like shrunken heads round a pigmy's neck.

Nope. Not sure about this one, think SkySports are doing a red-top (proclaiming an exclusive, not caring if it's wrong) as they've failed to come close to getting exclusives on Shelvey, Saivet or Townsend (in fact Sky actively proclaimed Townsend was a dead deal).

That said, I think Doumbia is close to done - Remy's done his usual and is heading to Leicester by all accounts. Doumbia was a decent player a few years back - but in the Russian League (and a monster on FIFA). Couldn't cut it at Roma, maybe he's more of a Bony type and the PL suits him better. Excellent goals to game ratio and above all else the club should be given credit for ripping up the age/sell on model. Whatever the reasons, this is positive. We suddenly look like a 'normal' club; trying to bring in players who will win us games.

 

Never heard of the guy. What are his FIFA ratings?

Siqueira possibly off to Valencia. Apparently he was put off the NUFC move after being told he'd be backup to Dummett.

 

I was more hoping he was off to Valencia to cover as we're getting the Argentine lad from them.

 

Meh. I'm increasingly wary of Argentinian defenders.

 

Understandable. Still, might make the one we do have open his mouth if he can speak his own language?

 

Apparently he's signed a 18 month contract which would mean the current LB, Argentinian International Lucas Orban would be available.
