What I think is irrelevant. We are only one game into the new season. Ask me again after Christmas.

Yes, why not, but you may still be disappointed. I don't change my opinions overnight, unless there is a pretty strong reason for doing so. <cheers>

But surely in this scenario, the owners of those stores would also want to keep improving their stores, having their best products on sale, they wouldn't get rid of their best sellers and run their companies down so they go backwards. wouldn't they be looking to make their businesses better not worse. I do get what you are saying and we have no right to expect them to do anything as they are the owners. I just thought that as owners you might want to move that business forward not backwards.

    Great response,tlf.

Of course the owners of the Stores would want to keep improving, but in their case, they wouldn't have their best selling range of ,say, baked beans, refusing to leave the warehouse for a life on their shelves, by feigning a headache, simply to get the chance to live on the shelves at a far more prestigious Store, such as say, Waitrose.

I'm sure the Swans' owners want only the best for the Club that they now own. That makes business sense. But they will do it THEIR WAY, and not the way of your average 606'er, who is never satisfied with purchases made anyway.
If they bring in a £2 million player, they are reviled. If they bring in a £10 million player they are reviled. When they bring in a £15 million player and he fails to impress, they are condemned for buying rubbish.
    So they just cannot win.

My message, should you wish to read it, is, give them some time. <cheers>

I am hoping to see 3 signings in before the end of the window, what we pay for them who knows. I don't believe we are looking for a direct replacement for Siggy, but to sign a few players who will strengthen our side

The owners get condemned for making retarded decisions like hiring Bradley. I don't think anyone has criticised them buying Baston?

So you knew in advance that employing Bradley was a "retarded decision" ? Just how many crystal balls do you have ?

No criticism re Baston. Really ?

Yes. And I said as much, as did many others, at the time.

    That will be a first!..............<laugh>

Clement looks stunned and lost, he tried to negate such a result, but you can only do so much with average players, Manu have 8 goals from their first 2 games, and we are heading south to prop the table up, looking like a re run of last season, though still only two games in...........<ok>

We are going to have to get those transfers in spot on, as we look very weak at the minute.

We've still got 1 point more than I thought we'd have after two games.

Sigurdsson was introduced to Everton fans at the match against Hajduk SplitPA

Gylfi Sigurdsson has defended the manner of his £40 million departure from Swansea, insisting that he has no regrets about the conduct which led to his move to Everton.

The Iceland midfielder withdrew from Swansea’s pre-season tour of America on the morning that they were due to leave because he believed the clubs were on the brink of a deal.

    Monday’s Premier League match preview
Negotiations continued for another month before he secured a club-record move to Everton, for whom he was a ball boy at the age of 12.

“Of course [it was difficult not to go on the tour],” Sigurdsson, who will be in the squad for the game away to Manchester City on Monday, said. “I had a close relationship not just with the team but with the manager [Paul Clement]. But we all just thought it was that close to being done.

“It did drag on a long, long time, but that’s just the way it is.”

    ● Everton have been charged by Uefa over their fans’ behaviour during the Europa League game against Hajduk Split on Thursday. The match at Goodison Park had to be stopped for several minutes due to crowd trouble in the away end. Everton supporters are charged with throwing objects while Hajduk fans are accused of disturbances, throwing objects, field invasion and acts of damage.

Foolish on his part not to thank the club that revived his career and lined his pockets. Appreciate what he has done for us but I won't shed a tear should he end up warming the bench again.
