Half A Village Green

So the council have decided that the Northern part of the site does not qualify for a Village Green but the Southern part of the site does.

The NIMBYs next move will be to go before a Judge to ask for a Judicial Review. If they can't prove that the Council have been negligent, then the Judge won't allow them a review.

So to summarise, in all likelihood we still have a hurdle or 2 to overcome, but it's looking good.

3 months? That'll be like the blink of an eye compared to all the time that has been wasted so far. Great news.

 

Really cant see they have a leg to stand on now!

The whole application for a VG should have been thrown out as it has been proved there was commercial use in the last 20 years.

They need to be careful what they wish for.

 

Yeah and they'll have to cough up our legal fees aswell, I reckon this thing could be done and dusted now.

Forgot to mention that the Chairman of the meeting stated that he had seen with his own eyes that the land was used as a tip, that's pretty damning evidence.

Was very nice to see all the tree hugging NIMBYs going potty aswell

And you can gaurantee they put their application in at the very last minute.

 

I heard that by the time the appeals go through they will then take it thru the European courts and could take City 2 years to get permission and would hate to think how much money that would cost the club. Maybe SL should go to European Court of human rights to get it put thru as the rights of the land owner.
Makes you laugh how quickly a group of gypsies can build a whole community on a piece of land

 

I may be wrong on this, but as the decision has been granted in our favour are we not legally allowed to begin the process of building on the land? Yes, they can appeal, but as the initial decision has been made and to my knowledge no decision to appeal has been made surely we can start?

 

Now that they are being granted a village green to be protected land, so they can walk their dogs, have family picnics, and play sports what are they moaning about? They have won, they have sucsessfully screwed Steve Lansdown out of half of the land he bought with a view to develop and will keep 21 acers of mashy, tip like goodness.

Its almost like they cared more about stopping the stadium than protecting their picnic space?

Every home game I am going to take a walk around th village green and if I dont see at least 10 people using it for recreational purposes I am going to start a dogging club and see how they like that.

You wanted a green, now you have one. You had better use it or I will point out to the gypsies how easy it is to move in next to NIMBY
