Well now it's been proven as possible, people of other nations will realise they too can hold politicians to account and change is actually in their hands and not futile.
Is that actually a good thing though? The average bloke on the street has long been proven to be a complete moron.
Well lets just let the honest, trust worthy politicians have a free rein in running the country with no recourse on their decision making , you sound like one of the average blokes on the street to me
This is just the start , the shouts to leave prior to Brexit by Italy and Holland were being begining to become audible , now we'e shown some balls perhaps others will be pushing for the same.
I might actually agree with you there! The problem is though, that's how democracy works and I'm quite keen on democracy. A lot of morons tend to not vote anyway (can't lift their head from their phone, "liking" pictures of kittens and making new "friends"). As much as I think Trump's a complete fool I was glad he was elected to shake up the cosy status quo of career politicians and give them something to think about. Things will settle back into some level of sanity after a while but with more people feeling like they're actually engaged with politics and knowing they can effect change. That has to be a good thing.
by that statement I can assume that a. you weren't one of them or b. you're either a fortune teller or Nostradamus incarnate ?
