You are very good at it. I know you don't, which is why I find your concern on the matter a bit puzzling tbh. I don't support them either, which is why I don't give a ****.

Leicester replacing him with Dunk for £45m. Absolutely mental.

I don't know mate I'm not a scout but I've seen enough of both to make my assertion, I'm convinced you could get a similar quality level cb for about 50m on the continent.

Even Toby at £25m would a better deal as a 1-2 year stop gap imo.

Maguire is a decent player but seriously overpriced (espescially right now) and think it seems almost like a 'lazy' option, don't think he's good enough to play in a title winning team personally.

    Concern?

Yeah, imagine a player involved in a world record transfer for a position being compared to the previous record of only 18 months ago in the same league.

Mental world we live in mate.

Yeah, but we don't know what that player would fit in like.

Bailly is a reasonable comparison, he's not cut it.

Koulibaly? How do we know he'd have suited the premier league?

That's the relevant point in this, we know Maguire copes with and suits the PL and that is what we need. Sod the cost.

We also don't need a stop gap, we need to build a new team. Maguire is part of that process.

We didn't expect to win the league immediately anyway but you should maybe need reminding the likes of Steve Bruce formed formidable title winning partnerships with the right person alongside them.

Maguire is a way better prospect than Bruce ever became.

You have a point regarding partnerships but I'm just not convinced that he's that good or what you need long term.

Guess we'll find out over the next couple of years!

Imagine paying £75m for Virgin when Vidic cost £7m and Virgin doesn’t have 1/10th of the talent.
