Jose that is, been shown the door this afternoon by Chelsea.

I can hear Glenn Roeder frantically scribbling his application form as I type this....

Well at least that means our board will be able to have a solid candidate lined up for when they give Neil the boot

Not really surprised. Wow, what could we do with the £Ms that Roman Abramovich has had to pay him?????
Edit - apparently, he'll only get the remainder of this year's salary (around £6M!!!)

If you were really cynical you might think that JM has orchestrated this so that he can go back to Real Madrid for next season.

Cockup and collect. He lost the players when he treated the young female physio so badly. How the mighty have fallen! Just watch Chelsea move up the table now. So, who's the favourite for the job?

    Not surprised in the slightest.

The only team they were capable of beating was our dross.

They have a replacement lined up apparently, not announced who, but my money would be on Hiddink until the end of the season

The bookies seem to agree with you TMC.

Chelsea play Sunderland and Watford next, so hopefully the new manager can start well.

Mourinho to Man Utd? The rumour is growing but sounds to me like another Clough / Leeds gig.

I dunno, he's always spoken pretty highly of United as far as I can remember, he was certainly always very respectful and full of admiration for Ferguson - somewhat of a contrast between Cloughie and Don Revie!

Ah that wasn't quite what I meant. Mourinho has lost the plot this year and so the fascination of Man Utd wanting him so badly is lost on me. Morinho has certainly spoken well of Man Utd in the past granted, but I think that this could be an explosive cocktail with a potentially short lifespan. IMO.
