It stinks from an employment law perspective and suggest to me that the other two are seen to have better long-term value to the club than someone who is getting on a bit and someone, Schteeve no doubt in one of his moments of inspiration, thought he was worth bucket loads of money to retain him. The other I expect are currently on much lower wages. No sympathy for him but Derby may struggle to defend an unfair dismissal claim on grounds of the inconsistency in treatment.
