Went to Kalkan in Turkey last year, stayed in a villa which had 5 bedrooms - there was me and Mrs G4E and my kids and their partners. Turkey is very reasonable for villas and eating out. I booked and paid via Tripadvisor. So easy to use. Also booked villas via Airbnb, Booking.com for me and mates to go away for football jaunts - off to Can Picafort for a week during Euro 2020 If going to a Florida then a villa and hire car are a must have
Looks like we've settled on one and completely bottled the villa thing, Mrs luv thinks the kids will be bored. So it's a hotel in Majorca.
CODE FOR: The villa thing was always your idea, Mrs Luv was never really having it because she’d heard about Mrs Jones being marooned with her kids in Paphos due to booking a moody villa. She’d said “you can sort it if you want a villa”, you couldn’t be ****ing arsed and allowed Mrs Luv to talk you into a hotel holiday she’d found. #underthethumb
Never really done a villa holiday. Closest was staying in one on a stag do, which I don't think really counts. When I used to go away with my family we'd always stay in hotels as more to do and my mum didn't think going on holiday and having to cook some nights was much of a break. She obviously hadn't realised that you had the option to eat out if you wanted to. I hated family holidays from about the age of 12 or so as I would rather be in the UK hanging out with my friends, so no doubt I was probably a bit of a ****. I haven't been on one since I was 14.
I'm staying until they colonise Mars at that point I don't think my 4G will pick up the site it has trouble from Bath so can't see it working.
