I gave it a few days to digest this gaf from the club but it still pisses me off.

I usually get to about 6 to 10 games a year for various reasons.

The club have decided to reward the fans for our loyalty and support last season after creating a special relationship by dropping a massive streaming **** on us.

All the points that season ticket holders and away travelling fans have been wiped to zero .

The club are giving fans that haven't gone to games for years or just fancy a day out because we are in the Premier league the chance to pay £50 for a premium membership and another £50 for an away one , those that can't afford it will pay £35 for the standard home and away .

The premium comes with a scarf badge and keyring the standard just a scarf .<doh>

So basically you need to stump up £100 to have a chance of buying tickets home or away before going on sale to the standard plebs season ticket holders and then general sale.

Out of principle the greedy money grabbing bastards aren't getting my hard earned cash.

Last season they were coming cap in hand asking us to donate to the academy because they blew our Premier league cash on useless signings and Jez Mosley's severance pay , as well as a large chunk of our best talent being sold.

The £30 cap is a step in the right direction but this membership scam has boiled my piss.

The love warmth unity pre match fan atmosphere flags parades , Farke doing his wavy arm thing .

Has been ruined by greed , the only people that benefit from this is fairweather fans that want to turn up when Man city or Liverpool are in town , or away .

Lets hope the club listens to us and comes up with something better .

We will sell out no matter what league we are in , conning us into paying £100 for a chance to buy tickets is nothing more than a rip off scheme.

There's a very short club statement this afternoon, which reading between the lines suggests some things might be adjusted, and twitter suggests Ben Kensell has been in contact with Away Season Ticket holders to reassure them - but I completely agree.

The way the club ignored all the supporter groups and their "consulting with fans" consisted of presenting 7 fans with the plan as a fait accompli is also particularly poor, as is releasing the details at 6am and putting the memberships on sale from 9am the same day.

I'll be buying my West ham away tickets in the home end if they don't pull this stupid away membership scam .

I don't object to coughing up £35 for the standard home membership, they can shove the Premium keyring where the sun don't shine.;)

Just tell us that's a good idea once you've paid the still ridiculous prices of the home fans! Just go to Arsenal and the £30 + 50 vs Arsenals home prices must even out or already leave you better off.

    Bah!

Doesn't sound at all scared, he makes several valid points while accepting mistakes were made in the initial application of the scheme! <ok>

I paid about £30 each for me and my son last time we played Arsenal in the League general sale on the day sitting in the Arsenal end.

West Ham will be about the same price and easy to get tickets .

Spurs I think is an evening kick off so hard to get back to Liverpool street on a work night so probably miss that one.

Palace is a dump I'm not going there again Watford Is a ground I have never visited and it's a Sunday kick off so that could be do able.

    Chelsea on a Sunday possibly.

So my £50 will give me a slim chance of purchasing tickets for West Ham Arsenal Watford and Chelsea, I usually take my eldest son so would he need his own Junior premium membership?

There will be thousands of fans that pay £50 and still won't be able to get in early enough to snap up the tickets.

This would already average them out to be about £42.50p if i was lucky enough to get to all 4 games that I want .

With the small allocation away fans get and us being the lowest category unglamorous home fixture for most clubs , I am certain that it would be easier and over all cheaper to sit in the home section .

I may buy a home membership but we all know that won't guarantee you a ticket either .

You could conceivably pay £50 for a premium membership try to get tickets for the big games like Liverpool Man city and Arsenal and still be disappointed.

    Stupid ****ing system .

I should be able to get some away tickets, as I can be on-line at 9am the day they go on sale - though that still won't guarantee me a ticket.
I wouldn't want to go to Wet Sham if the tickets were free - my choice!!!

Yes Dunc - it is a stupid and ill-conceived idea and has upset the majority of fans. <doh>

It's a huge kick in the teeth for those fans who travelled away to places like Wigan, Preston etc and racked up much mileage in following teir club. It seems that Joe public's £50 is far more important to the club than genuine loyalty - and that smacks of crass commercialism and a totally uncaring attitude to all those 'proper' fans. <grr>

I was living in Stratford when they built the Olympic village and stadium and watched it getting built and transform the area.
I Was also working in the casino there during 2012 Olympics and couldn't get tickets for any of the events .

When West Ham moved in I promised my son I would take him to the Olympics stadium , then we got relegated.

Kind of unfinished business plus really easy to get to from Stratford station.
My real problem with the new allocation system is I went to about 8 games at home last season with my friend and his grandad, you briefly met them before a game in the Wetherspoons Alek.

They are both season ticket holders and got me the seat next to them as priority loyal customers , it's not the same seated in another part of the ground even if I can get tickets with my £50 membership.
So we are more likely to get to games together if i buy them at London away sides sitting in the home end.

The club have set up a system where you may have 9000 paid up away members competing for seats , it's basically a success tax .

Good for you wanting to take your son to the Olympic Stadium and it's just I can't stand Wet Sham & ESPECIALLY Karren!! :emoticon-0121-angry

I guess your last paragraph says it all Dunc and unless you can pretty much guarantee being on-line when tickets go on sale, then don't waste your £50.

I see from the article in today's EDP that some of the fans who have gone to Los of away games have their tickets 'ring-fenced'. Yes, they'll have to pay £50, but I went to Villa Park and the Hawthorns in 11-12 and each ticket cost me nearly £50, so at only £30 for each away ticket, they'll be in pocket.
