Let's hope Adkins stumbles on a winning team. Has to happen some time on the law of averages. We're told he has to manage CBT's fitness. I don't get it, Adkins is a physio, he's got a good medical team behind him, yet we appear to have signed another player whom we'll only see the best of occasionally, like Innis. Surely Old Ben won't be asked to do another 90 minutes, which leaves Dobson with the chance to prove himself. Same with Pearce, so in comes Famewo. Whoever the full-backs are I hope they get better support from our alleged midfield than they did on SAturday. Time to bury the tactic of playing Stockley as lone striker. Davison has to start, maybe with Stockley, maybe with Washington, so does Lee. Lavelle too, otherwise who knows.
If Blackett-Taylor is a crock, my heart will go into my boots. For pity's sake, what do we have to do in order to sign a few players who don't collapse like a jelly that didn't set if you look at them the wrong way?
Two up front, yes please. I think Lee and Gilbey should start. Do we play with wingers or a Bowyer diamond? MacG Smudge Lavelle Famewo Soare Leko Gilbey Dobson CBT Stockley Lee Or MacG Lardi Lavelle Famewo Soare Dobson Morgan Gilbey Lee Davison Stockley
Good luck to anyone going to the game tonight. Hope the weather isn't too bad, but a bit of wind & rain makes for ideal footy conditions (none of your Prem strictly come dancing or Qatar indoor 11-a-side). And I hope all the petrol stations in SE7 are closed this evening. Because only when those places are shut nowadays does traffic flow properly (or at all). UP THE ADDICKS!
My team: MacG; Gunter, Elerewe, Pearce, Purrington: Gilbey, Dobson, Clare, CB-T (or Leko), Davison, Washington.
Just switched on tye stream and heard someone say we've made 5 changes for tonight. Really? Someone tell me they were talking about Bolton.
I'm not sure if I'd be happy to hear we'd made no changes for tonight (if it were so). For much of the first half on Saturday our starting XI was, erm, less than stellar.
I hear we played pretty well in the first half. About 20 inches of rain just fell on West London. If that's on its way to the Valley the pitch won't need watering at half time...
That's it. No more excuses. Nigel Adkins has to be sacked. Every passing game that he remains our manager drags us one step closer to League Two.
We played well for about 30 minutes. Bolton were far more dynamic, attacking in numbers. Once again our midfield sat way too deep. The substitutions were too late.
A good case could be made that tonight's result is the lowest point - the most humiliating defeat - in our entire 116 year history. Certainly in living memory. Adkins has to go.
