Our season started like we were the victim of a car crash who died multiple times on way to hospital. Just before Christmas though we were given some cpr and brought back to life. We're now out of hospital and going from strength to strength.
Ours is going well all things considered...still in all cups...so plenty exciting games on the horizon 6th biggest team sat in 3rd behind a couple of big spenders. It'll do...for now
Still in the FA Cup, having seen off Prem opposition, setting up a 4th round away tie against another Welsh club. Currently 17th in League One and four points off relegation. Hopefully our cup run will improve the coffers to avoid any financial losses for the season. Eaves is probably our current biggest asset, if an offer comes in we will have to sell; https://www.skysports.com/football/...ham-striker-tom-eaves-ahead-of-january-window I expect our cup run to end at Swansea, despite it being the draw our manager wanted being his home town. We will then concentrate on the league and maintaining our L1 status.
For those of us like @The Liebherr Legacy and myself who wanted to get relegated the season was going wonderfully until Messiah Hughes was sacked. Now we have some new guy who is a right annoying **** and might keep us up
Confused and erratic ... we can beat Chelsea, Everton and Man City interspersed with losing (at home) to Cardiff and Southampton (and even Shane Long scored) and getting dumped out the cup at Newport ... we have a manager with the charisma of a fart in a lift and I honestly have no idea how we will play match to match ...
Going better than i expected pre season. A bit of a downer because we started on fire and recently look like we have nothing. A bit disappointed in Sarris tactic if i'm honest and our lack of movement but i'm not sure if its a personnel thing which i think Sarri could improve on. Overall it's been good
And to make sure Jorginho makes 500 useless passes a game. **** knows what Pep saw in him to have been interested, geezer's basically a £50m Harry Winks.
Better than I expected in August, tbh. With no new signings and the continuing disruption from the new stadium saga, I thought we might be lucky to make top 6.
Haven't forgotten that ... arguably a factor but we were pretty erratic before his death ... seem able to compete against the bigger clubs but equally vulnerable to those in the relegation fight ... a lot of that comes down to having a lot of very young players now in and around the first team squad ... we could really have done with some older quality like a Fabregas ... the future looks very bright but right now things are very frustrating
**** you, brb, I’m replying. Sort of going how I expected tbh. We’ve still got one of the best sides in the division despite no signings so thought we’d be in the top four mix but I predicted that a few injuries could prove problematic, especially at CM. With Sissoko and Kane now looking like they could be out for a few weeks plus Son off to Asia - our three best players this season - it’s **** the bed time.
