Are you really going for racism and sectarianism to counter someone, rightly, calling you out about an inappropriate comment dredging up someone’s challenge with an illness they’re battling? if not feel free to correct me, but if so that is genuinely astonishing
"The Famine is Over is an anti-Irish song popular with Scottish football fans and Ulster Loyalists. It originated in Scotland during the mid-2000s, written by supporters of Rangers Football Club to antagonise rival club Celtic. The Famine is Over is sung to the tune of John B. Sails, a folk song popularised by the Beach Boys as Sloop John B. The song’s title refers to Ireland’s Great Famine of the 1840s, during which thousands of starving Irish emigrated to Scotland. Celtic Football Club was established by Irish immigrants in Glasgow in 1887 and its supporter base remained predominately Irish. Celtic supporters are well known for their Irish Nationalist and Republican sympathies, occasionally launching into IRA songs or chants during matches. The rivalry between Celtic and Rangers, the Scottish Football League’s two most successful clubs, is long-standing and acrimonious." https://alphahistory.com/northernireland/famine-is-over-loyalist-song-2000s/ Not wanted on here!
I really don't need to respond to your unilateral attack but just for your benefit,I'll reply. I have already said I wish no more interaction with this forum but if I'm going to be the subject of back biting and bitching,I'll respond and hope this ends this waste of time. The man you are defending (Kalman) made a pro I.R.A comment some time ago,in which he glorified and Humourised the death of Earl Mountbatten... Of course you might not see that as some form of sectarianism but that's my lot...Can I **** off in peace now?
I didn’t see that, and may we’ll have called it out if I did. Regardless if you found it upsetting then I would have thought you might want to avoid upsetting others by being racist yourself?
I know exactly what you mean, we went to watch Scarborough again yesterday. Looking forward to being back at city when they've gone...although I'm not convinced that's anytime soon
Only went yesterday because it’s down the road from me. Otherwise I tend to watch Ossett. It’s not the same and never will be but it’s a welcome distraction from City, the Allams, McCann...
The 2nd goal was a cracker, but it was obvious what he was going to do. We are so naive, it's unbelievable ! We dont look as if the players know how to close down the space. Or more damming, read the game. Then the heads went down and we looked sorry for ourselves. What's Peter Taylor doing these days? He would have gone ballistic with that defeatism.
He also accused me of being a poppy shagger for supporting the minutes silence although his post was pulled for being offensive
Ignore the pile-on, Ric- it's what happens on here occasionally, specially when people are bored and looking for a target.
