You can't just start asking questions without quoting random lists of numbers and your seemingly unrelated assessment of what the numbers mean! Amateur
Its fair to say then, whatever the attendance is announced as at games this season, just knock approx 2,500 off?
Just putting it on here so people can see it. If those of us who've had to look at these things a lot (although nearly a decade for me professionally now) can answer any questions on them, let us know.
Well. At the end of June, the Allams were owed £60m and the bank £21m. We had £20m in the bank. The accounts state that the directors reckon wages should be down 40% this year (let's say £60m down to £36m). Parachute payment should cover that and net transfer spend should make a big dent into the £60m owed to Allamhouse. The club is owed £13.1m by SMC (which has no way to pay - net liabilities of £10m). I'd say that after next year's parachute payment, the club should be in decent financial health. Then it needs to attract the punters back to get some money in. I have no idea what the "other matchday income" of £8m is. Was only £2m in the championship season of 2015-16.
Our trade debtors have gone up £11 million in a year. What have we sold that was worth that much money? Selling players appears to be dealt with under trade debtors arising from player transfers.
I'm not so sure about our financial health or how much the Allams will be able to take out of the club. We owe other clubs £14.9 million for players (this may be payable over 2 or 3 more years). Depending on appearances made by players we sold we might have to pay out another £3.1 million). These monies have to come from this season's income. If Ehab is right we have spent £16 million on new players from the £50 million received from player sales. Leaving a balance of £34 million. Not all that will be available this season unless he's sold cheap to get more cash up front. Our costs are likely to be: Players wages £36m Interest to Allamhouse £2.4m Other wages £6m SMC rent £3.5m Loans to the SMC £2m Total £49.9m If these figures are accurate we will would need to substantially reduce our expenditure next season if we don't get promoted.
Snodgrass, Diame and Maguire seem to be the only players sold in the period. I think that £6m is receivable in more than 1 year but I'm not up to date with Uk Gaap. Pretty sure only liabilities needed to be split into less than a year, 2-5 and >5 years.
Are we the first club in history to have a lower net book value for our playing squad after a premier league season than before it?
