He usually does QPR, but haven't heard anything about him going to this one.

    Premier League Cup group drawn

Hull City’s under-23s have been drawn against Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and either Southend United or Scunthorpe United in Group C of the Premier League Cup.

Jon Beale’s side will play their group matches between October and February.

Fixture dates and venues will be announced in due course, with Scunthorpe playing against Southend on Tuesday evening.

It's great to see young Greavsey really impressing at Cheltenham, and helping them to 3rd in the league at the moment. They beat Plymouth away 0-2 and interestingly their 2nd goal was scored by another former Hull City centre back Will Aimson. Unfortunately, he plays for Plymouth now and it was an own goal.

Sheaf who is also at Cheltenham wasn't in the playing squad yesterday for some reason.

He hasn't been involved since August, he picked up an injury I think.

EDIT: had to have a scan on a hamstring injury, see link below.

We have an academy producing players now
That’s down to Sir Steven Bruce
    And the Allams

Do you mean Sir Steven Bruce that the Allams forced out of the club in a disgraceful manner?

Cancelled their good work out on that one, but at least they are level instead of net negative on something.

It goes without saying IMO SB influence in the success of the Academy and I have been critical of the Allam's on most things, but as you say one of their successes has been the academy. I still feel they could have invested during the EPL years in creating a club owned facility, and move on from renting B. Burton, but on the playing side, they do deserve some credit.

P,S, I saved my 15,000 post for you Chazz as a mark of respect for your contribution to this board.:emoticon-0105-wink:

    Cheers John
It’s been tough to be constantly below average but I think I’ve been consistent <ok>

It sounds as if young Greaves is still impressing.

Jacob Greaves was outstanding and he just seems to get better and better
We believe he's a good player. I said quite early I think he'll go and play a higher level. How far he wants to go is up to him, but he is a good kid, comes from a good football background, with regards to his dad (Mark) playing 200 games. The area he comes from, he won't get ahead of himself, I don't think he's got that in him. He wants to learn, nor heirs and graces about him, comes in, does his job and goes home. He was out on his feet at the end, as were a few others. Chris Hussey was cramping up at the end and that fight and desire to not settle for a point is something I am enjoying at the minute.

The U23s won 2-0 against Bolton today, a few names I didn't recognise, though one stands out.

Starting XI: Mannion, Odunston, Jacob, Hanson, Smith, Lupano, Hamilton, Bonds, Berry, Chadwick, Salam. Subs: Foulkes, Rouse, Leake, Wood, Carew.

He likes a lapdance or two, he might even pay for you...

There are certainly some unfamiliar names cropping up.

It was actually Ryan Hanson who scored the second goal.

The U18's beat FC Massive 2-1 on Saturday as well, they're now four unbeaten at home this season.

Brucey obviously played his part, but it was primarily Tony Pennock and his relationship with Assem, that saw the Academy get so much attention.
