It seems weird given that black players (City or otherwise) aren't in the slightest bit rare or notable for their ethnicity but if it's a historic thing about the first black players in the game/at City and that kind of thing then I think that has some merit.
It is odd I agree. In a day where no one bats an eyelid at a black player it's daft to say 'look here, Marc Joseph played for us'. He wasn't exactly breaking boundaries was he?
I went to see some of Turner's seascapes at the Maritime Museum. There were two I really liked. There a few painting by other people and you can notice the difference. Its on until January so I'll be going back to have another look. No photographs allows but worth a visit.
Should anyone be interested, after 12 years working at fDi Magazine I finally got to write an article about investment in Hull (and the impact the City of Culture celebrations are having upon it). It's here: http://www.fdiintelligence.com/Loca...d-investment-are-resurrecting-an-English-city
Can't believe they've done this in CofC, with so many visitors too. How uncultural. Really though, most forward thinking cities accept they will never eradicate the sex industry and so 'manage it' safely. A society is judged on how they treat those most vulnerable.
