I’m not so sure they will. Football on a weekend was what I did. If I wasn’t at the game I was listening on the radio or more recently watching a stream. Now I do so much more on a weekend, the I take the little one to groups. All that would have to stop, and I think I actually prefer it. On the odd away games I’ve been to over the last few years it just hasn’t been the same, the buzz is gone. But we will see. It’s a group mentality thing really and for too long the group mentality has been grim.
That’s why any owners should be focussing on encouraging new fans Getting them while they’re young, like most of us were ‘got’ You and Kempton etc are bonuses if you come back but you’re right I think that once people have given up the habit they will be difficult to get hooked again (actually this is accidentally sounding like drug dealing...but it is in a way...they should use similar tactics to dealers by giving the product away to youngsters safe in the knowledge that a fair chunk will continue even when they have to pay...you’re an ex addict now and maybe lost as a customer forever)
I don’t remember much encouraging ever from city. And they still hardly go into schools Fc and rovers both put them to shame
Same for me , 1 free ticket and I've spent thousands now , pretty effective That was the Don Robinson era , not sure how often it's been done at other times
Not really...although obviously I sent my fag to actually collect it from the Head in case Flashman caused a ruckus
