I have to agree with this. McLoughlin had a couple of opportunities to play it forward to Tufan on the floor . I'm not even sure he was looking for a forward pass
I assumed that it was just a cock-up and he had no idea Seri had a player behind him. Though Ingram was decent for us, I think Darlow is a definite step up and a significant one.
This has happened a lot this season and last. With Baxter/Ingram and now Darlow/Ingram, we've had two good keepers at any one time and we've only really changed them when there's been an injury, and then the guy who gets injured tends not to get his shirt back until the other one gets injured. Darlow might still be waiting for his debut now if Ingram hadn't got injured.
There's a pretty good arguement as to which keeper is better and could go either way when you really drill down into both their games... But to say Darlow is a significant step up (or to say either one is) is I think pretty unfair and insulting to how good of a keeper Ingram is and has been for us. Both have been fantastic for us this season and both have made some questionable decisions. I think we are lucky to have 2 of the best keepers in the championship. I don't think I'd swap either of them with anyone with bar possibly Patterson at Sunderland and Muric at Burnley
If Ingram is insulted by me calling him decent, we'd better hope the other players don't have a look on here.

It's just down to the sheer step up in class, the difference between a top end champ keeper and top end Prem is absolutely huge. Darlow is a very very very good keeper, but he isn't anywhere near what's needed to be pushing for a place at Newcastle and That's not a dig at him in any way shape or form.
After seeing the highlights show I'm surprised it's not the Rotherham keeper in there, did well against Norwich.
Agree with all of that John. I enjoyed the game. Tbh I’d been questioning why Ebiowei and Allahyar don’t swap round regularly since being of them seems to be comfortable crossing with their weaker foot so drift inside instead. I’d thought it might keep the defenders guessing a bit more, but not thought it being in relation to trying to get Ebiowei to try harder but you could be right. I do struggle with his lack of effort. Not body language, although I agree that doesn’t help, but anything anywhere close to 50/50 he seems to give up and doesn’t even bother chasing when he is often the faster of the two (on paper at least…yeah I know) Shame for Longman as he was much better as you say, and Elder was much better that Greaves too. Interesting to see how animated Liam was to the crowd in N Stand when he came over at the end. Clearly meant a lot. Whether that was based on a previous bust up, chuffed his subs worked, or just pleased we’ve pretty much put relegation to bed, I don’t know. Either way it was good to see.
Think Liam was happy. He said he walked around the ground having reached the 50 point mark which he thinks make us safe. He wanted to enjoy that with the crowd.
His point isn’t rubbish, we saw it with Shota when we was somehow winning against all odds then it all went to pot. Not saying it’s the same as then cause it isn’t but I understand where he’s coming from.
