No, he couldn’t do a job last season in the Championship, why would he be able to do a job next season? He’d currently have no chance of getting a starting midfield place.
What counter?!..it should of just been called 'HOLE IN THE WALL'..& if you went back towards spring bank, turned left before you'd finished your burger & CHIPS you could of done lots of things against 'THE WALL' or the billboards trying to hide the ****ty car park on ferensway!!!
Yankee Burger and Wimpy, we definitely had fries in Hull in the early 80's. Though Wimpy actually called them 'French fried chips'.
If you walked through that car park early in the morning, there was always a continuous row of condoms along the back wall of those billboards.
“There’s still ten games to go,” the City chief said. “Darren Ferguson is completely right when I heard his comments after the game (with City), the league title is in Peterborough’s hands – it’s theirs to lose. “All we can do is focus on our own performances, we’ve got to control the controllable, that’s all we can do.” Why would you even say that McCant...?
i always think of mark bonner as the player who kickstarted the great escape. nice to see he's gone into management.
The midfield three this season has been far better than last season - one of the main reasons we've done a lot better. I don't think Jackson is anywhere near as effective.
But using "control the controllables"? Bloody hell - that's a phrase used by someone trying to make it sound like they know what they're talking about.
lol, Nige was Mr. "Management Speak" himself, regardless of how much he knew or didn't know what he was doing. I'd liked him btw, his enthusiasm and honesty were refreshing. I appreciate Managers will clothe their comments in meaningless verbage to avoid any possible awkward points and to avoid saying anything that may boomerang on them, it just makes me laugh when they use phrases such as 'control the controllables.' For whatever reason(s) McCann is steering a ship of players that are currently clicking and showing their true potential at this level. So fair dues to whoever is responsible for that, and yes that may include McCann. I'm still not at all convinced about ability at Championship level if we get back there, but let's deal with this season first.
Gorgeous George didn't exactly set the championship alight either but after this seasons performances he deserves another crack at it and the same goes for grant if he gets us back up
