I couldn't agree more with this, he needs a few games with Jelavic or N'Doye to show his true worth. He was ****ing amazing against Everton, in fact even against Manchester City at home he played well, won the penalty and converted it himself. He has shown promise, and hopefully once he gets a run of games with either Jelavic or N'Doye he can fire us to safety.
Yes, but Burnley are gambling that by keeping Ings he can help keep them in the PL which is worth another £80m next season at least.
Many teams give up at some point or another. The Newcastle game only went downhill fast after the 2nd goal. Our situation is easy to sort out. Upto the players now.
He is if he thinks he can play a back four with Robbo and Elmo as the two fullbacks. Trust me that is just plain madness.
Both our manager and our players need to get their arses in gear. Hopefully with the assistance of our new assistant manager.
My only question with that is. If Mike Phelan comes in and things dramatically improve, why are we paying Steve Bruce a kings ransom?
I've agreed with that McLean, Proschwitz and Altidore where poor. So not sure why you've brought them up. Simpson was very important in our promotion season. He was the focal point of our attack and help create space for others and generally did a lot of unseen work. As for strikers picked because of other things then there goal scoring. What about Peter Beardsley, Mark Hughes, Dennis Bergkamp and Zola? Why don't Chelsea pick Remy to play along side Costa instead more creative players like Hazard who have worse scoring records?
Bruce is the reason we are in the prem! And the reason why we have possibly the best squad I've seen in a city shirt for a long long time! They all signed for Bruce not city! All the good managers need a good assistant.
If he goes abroad they'll be looking at receiving less than £500k. If they stay up- fair play- they stand a small chance of keeping Ings, if they go down, they've lost Ings for a fraction of his worth- not so smart!
I can agree with that statement but it must be very difficult, no matter how good you are, to start a game of Chess with only 1 Knight, 1 Bishop and 1 Rook and sometimes without a Queen (no comments please). It must be like trying to play snooker without a cue. My opinion is that IF we could field an injury free side with Snodgrass and Diame we would have a team well capable of cementing a position in the third quarter of this league. It is well known that I have followed City for almost 70 years and I honestly cannot remember when we had an injury list that was half as long as the one we've had this season. We are due a turn of luck both with the team and a striker. Let us hope N'Doye can show us something to cheer about.
Completely agree, he made 7 assists that season, despite him only scoring 6 goals. He was used to do the "donkey work", running the channels, holding the ball up, etc. Anyone remember that goal away at Bristol City were him an Aluko ripped their defence with a 1-2 and Aluko slotted it in? Absolutely class.
Geezuz, now I remember! How many offers did we get for him and how much did we sell him for? I forget! Remind me!
