The club website says Emerson Hyndman has signed a four year contract with AFC Bournemouth. At least with him staying in England, we'll get some compensation.
It's a good move for him, it's a shame we were such a mess when he was coming through, as with Roberts and Dembele.
Yup, another underused and talented youngster gone. Absolute steal for Bournemouth whatever the compensation fee.
Without doubt my favourite, with an enormous amount of talent which i am sure EH will help to develop. Oh how the tossers running our club are selling the fans short.
Agree rosc, and one of my fav's as well. However, we knew for some time (as did Kit way back last August) that Emerson's was disillusioned by his treatment and, if we believe the stories, had his head turned by Klinsman. And at the end of the day if he won't sign a new contract there's nothing the Club can do. Doesn't make it right or feel any better, but that's life!
One of my friends down here who is a Cherries season ticket holder has heard that the compensation is around £750,000. An absolute bargain for them, but better for us than if he'd gone abroad. Just about.
Fulham`s head of recruitment Malcolm Elias told the Daily Echo... "Emerson is very gifted technically and will enjoy playing alongside Andrew Surman, one of the boys I helped to bring through at Southampton. I would say they are similar. They are both clever, good on the ball with good awareness and creativity. They will be on the same wavelength. Despite being young, Emerson has the knack of being able to control the tempo of a game and I have not known many players have that capability so early in their careers... ... he is definitely Eddie`s (Howe) type of player. Personally, I think he will be a great loss to Fulham and a fantastic signing (for AFC Bournemouth) because he is the type of intelligent, technical player that will thrive in Bournemouth`s environment..." That was a quote in a quote from a Bournemouth blog. Elias is in fact our head scout and while I agree with the sentiments attributed to him here, I find it strange to be coming from a memeber of the Club's staff. Probably a ridiculous conspiracy theory but reading between the lines is it just possible that Elias is unhappy with how the Hyndman situation has been allowed to develop over the last year (and possibly Mike Rigg's dictats)?
Once again RID OF RIGG, the guy has very little or no knowledge of players ability or future potential, Am i right in saying he has been sacked from his last 4 apointments.
