err the West Bank isn't a particularly narrow strip when judged in comparison to Israel and there are no rockets being launched from there just the possible start of a new intifada .
Before Palestine was partitioned, Jews and Arabs were living in the same territories. The Arab-Israeli war saw Palestine carved up, but certain agreements were made about sharing the territories. Since then, and especially the massive land grab during the six day war, has seen Israel's incursions into Palestinian territory reduce the country to a few scattered areas on the overall map. Have a look at how much land has been 'acquired' by Israel since 1948 And still, they push into Palestinian territories, forcing out families and building homes for Jewish settlers on their land. please log in to view this image
Yeah it's definitely complicated. And both sides lay claim to it being their homeland going back 2000 years, so there's a **** ton to untangle in that lot. The modern day Israel is basically a European construct though, by Zionist Jews who wanted a homeland after the Nazi persecution of Jews during the second world war. I'm not saying they shouldn't have a homeland. Although there are Orthodox Jews who forbid Zionism. But the solution has to be a two state country, where both Palestine and Israel are recognised as sovereign states. The problem at the moment is that the balance is so heavily skewed towards Israel, backed and funded by the West. To the point where Palestinians are largely living in an open prison in their vastly reduced enclaves, subject to curfews, restrictions, denied rights, having their electricity and water cut off, denied imports of vital medicines etc. So it's no wonder they kick off.
Lol, yeah why not. They need a homeland too. Persecuted by mainstream society and were also subjected to the horrors of the Nazi's Pick a country that they can lay claim to, basically any in Europe and hand it over
It does sound as though this was started by Israeli soldiers stopping Muslims from celebrating Eid at some location important to them. Also it coincides with Election results, and that in itself can give politicians excuses to cause unrest with their use of military power, if election results are not going their way. I know people are saying it's a land grab etc, but weighing everything up, that is an action of consequence relating to the former suggestions I'm assuming above. Basically what I'm saying is that Benny Netty guy caused this shhite, because he was losing his grip, so start a war, get the Jews all on your side, stay in power. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've not seen or read anything yet, that has convinced me otherwise.
Exactly! I was following on the news before I realised it was being discussed on here, and to me it seemed like people were seizing opportunities. So Benny Netty is being a shhite, and Hamas are seizing opportunity to offload rockets. As a result you've now got Jews and Muslims both taking random retaliatory action against one another on the streets of Israel. All leaders of the world should be ashamed of this, because they all have the power to stop it, IF they really wanted to, but they don't.
It's not complicated. 60+ UN resolutions tell you it's not complicated. It's a great narrative to convince the world to shrug shoulders and accept it though. A cop out.
In breach of 46 UN resolutions, but don’t mention it or you’re an anti Semite or something, It’s become a rogue state who’s land grabs, apartheid policies and massacre of innocents are a global disgrace.
The zionist goals for Israeli land go far far beyond current borders...bigger goals always ahead.......again politicians are just puppets in this little exercise Feel sorry for the non violent individuals on both sides suffering from this problem........so much evil in religion mixed with corporate politics.......shame on them
