He looks out of sorts, doesn't he. With his ability I think a change of yards would be worth the chance to see if he can be rejuvenated but if not then he should probably be retired, now. What do you think of Mishriff as favourite in the Juddmonte? He doesn't seem to perform at the same level over here as he does in Meydan and if Alcohol Free gets the trip today surely that will take some beating...
Sorry Saff, I really thought his early speed on this track from that draw would see him in the top 6. Very disappointing
I wasn't going to bet today, Ron. I've not got the time to sit and watch all the races today so I did actually only put 50p ew on to keep an interest in the race Your reasons were very good and clearly stated. Sometimes horses just don't run to form and that's the way it is in this sport.
I only fancied one horse today and he ran a shocker so don't let me put you off. Personally I doubt she will stay against top class 10-12f horses. Her only other G1 entry is the Sprint Cup. Having said that York is suited to fast horses so who knows. Both Mishriff and Love had excuses behind Adayar at Ascot over 12f and that was a very fast time so I expect those 2 to fight it out. It depends why Love was carrying her head awkwardly in the KG. If it was the ground then maybe a bit of ease in the ground may be preferred today so, with a gun to my head, I would have to go for Mishriff. No confidence at all in this race
You aren't putting me off anything, Ron. I'm not betting, mate I am going to sneak a few minutes in to watch the Juddmonte, though. A very interesting race that I'd rather not gamble in so I can enjoy it for what it is rather than just focusing on 'my horse' and missing the thrills of the horses outsmarting each other...
After all that I couldn't get away to watch it I see Mishriff won and it looks like it might have been quite comfortable judging by the finishing distance?
Nice one. I'm really pleased to see him running to this kind of form over here. Always had a soft spot for Mishriff since he won me a few quid in Meydan
Sandrine (6/5) and Snowfall (4/9) 2/1 the double looks the way to go today. Difficult to see either getting beaten
Last race yesterday had a couple of quid on Rifleman at 11/1. Purely cos I had mentioned Winchester on here the day before.
Considering the form both teams are in, the 6/1 available for a West Brom win at home to Arsenal is outrageous.
LivescoreBet gave me a free £10 bet yesterday as they'd been having some problems with logins over the last couple of days. Stuck it on Farhh Too Shy @Yarmouth - won 4/1 so £40 for nowt. Followed up with £5 e/w on on That's Just Dandy @ Bellewstown @ 33/1. Got beat 2 short heads. Returned £38, could have been £208. Still.......
I'm having a bet in the 3.25 at Epsom today. I've put a line straight through the favourite today, Arthurs Victory, who is going for the hat-trick. His last two wins have been on good to soft and slow. The going at the course today is Good to Firm. Two previous attempts on this going he's finished 5/7 and 6/10. He's also gone up 7lb since his first win so happy to look past that. I have doubts about the trip with, Sir Oliver, who looks better suited at 6f or even 5 and a half as there's decent speed there. It's noted there's quite a lot of money around for this horse so I woldn't rule it out on that basis. The one I'm trusting with a couple of quid is, SPIRIT WARNING, has slipped down the weights enough to be winning a race like this. Ran off 67 in June at a furlong further and finished 3rd, is now 3lb lower than that effort and looking at the recent form, I think (hope) this drop in trip will suit and he'll have enough to win. A horse further down the list that looks interesting is, Otago, won the last two here over C&D and only up 2lb for the last of those. Same jockey is back on board, now.
Is anybody having a go at the Arc, today? I've been Tarnawa all the way but now because of the conditions I'm split between this one and Hurricane Lane. I also like Torquator Tasso for a small (very small) EW play. This German horse has form on testing ground but stamina is unknown. At 80/1 I'll take a chance.
Will probably have a small punt on a horse proven in this type of ground. Couldnt pick my nose yesterday never mind a winner.
Yeah, same. I had Saffron Beach but that was my only winner and small consolation for what I'd lost. Jumps season starting to kick in properly so hopefully I can claw a few quid back that I always lose during the flat season.
