I just got 3 tips off a bookie for the Grand National. Sunshine. Moonlight. Good Times If they don't win, don't blame it on Sunshine, don't blame it on Moonlight, don't blame it on Good Times, blame it on the Bookie.
I backed that and 2 in the National. I think they are all still running.. SAFC won. Its softened the blow.
I put a 1a on that horse. He sounded so convincing I had Santini ew at 50/1. That was the only bet that came in for me. Terrible gambling festival, I've lost just under 300 today.
Aintree and Cheltenham are normally a bookies bonanza although the bookies did take a hammering at Cheltenham a few weeks back. Bit out of my league that much. I have a few bob on when I go to the Ebor. Limit myself to £20 or so per race.
There's a horse making it's rules debut at Stratford later this month. It's beaten some good horses on the pointing fields and owner is expecting a big run. It's going to be going in a hunters chase. One to keep an eye on... It's called SUM IT UP.
Eurovision Song Contest - 1 - Ukraine - 1/3 2 - Uk - 6/1 3 - Czech Republic - 175/1 (each way 1/5 - for top 1,2,3,4 places )
Never had a penny on it, Gil. I cheered it across the line like I had my life savings on it. Amazing horse.
I'm at Ripon on Saturday. I'm not getting dressed up. Shorts and t-shirt in this weather. I had a canny weekend just gone, two winners in my lucky 15.
Thanks pal. Have you backed anybody in the golf? I like Patrick Cantlay, so I've a tenna each way on him. I've also had a tenna each way on Abraham Ancer at big odds.
Bollin Joan is running today at Ayr. I watched that run a good race at Ripon the previous weekend against better horses than its facing today. The drawback is it's an exposed horse and always vulnerable against an improving young horse and there's a few in this race. I'm not sure if I'll back it but I'll definitely watch the race out of interest.
