Ryan Lowe interested in Frank Fielding 31 yr old experienced Bristol C goalkeeper.....been released this summer.....sounds a solid keeper....and not a young loanee like what we have been going with in recent times.
I'm ok with £500k for Ladapo as well and think that is ok business for us. But another one goes and still nobody comes. Maybe we were waiting for this cash before getting going?
Assuming Lowe can get his hands on some of it....that might give him the edge in getting the players he wants.
It has been noticed (Cam 1) that the big...'We are Argyle'...flag has been spread out over the seats of the Devonport end....is that in advance of introducing incoming players and a photo backdrop situation ?.............. .....or has it just been washed and there drying it ?
Yes he has been talking with Ryan Lowe.....but it also says that he is talking with another club on Thursday.
I hate those flags. I like to stand and clap the players onto the pitch and that damn thing comes across at about 14:57 every Saturday. It usually just gets clear but only just. Why can't they start 5 mins sooner?
Or more to the point notdistant why can't they set fire to the bleddy thing and not do it at all. It forces people to join in whether they want to or not.
Right by my clock it is now Thursday. Today is the day the ball starts rolling mainly due to the fact we will have some players to kick it. Lets get the show on the road and sign em on..........
Well Danny Mayor won't be one of those kicking a ball around today....that's assuming anyone sees a ball first day back. From what's being said Mayor is looking over another club today....and no decisions until the weekend so we're told.
Under 19 Greece international Klaidi Lolos has signed his first professional contract with Argyle.....promising goal scoring forward. The only outstanding name on my list who hasn't signed now is Luke Jephcott....has he signed a new contract and I've missed it.
INCOMING sensible....honest.....Joe Edwards 28 yr old...5ft 8 in....Midfielder or full-back released by Walsall this summer signing for July 1st. No one mentioned him on the wish list.
Disappointment over keeper Frank Fielding....it seems he's on the verge of signing for Millwall. Some good goal there notDistant by Joe Edwards whilst at Walsall.
Doesn't seem to spend much time at FB.............. but has played at wing-back to suit Lowe's preferred style. FACT - Ben Barclay, 22yo CB released by Brighton & Hove Albion will have a trial at Argyle as a free agent. He was on loan at Newport County last season. FACT - Luke Jephcott has re-signed with Argyle RUMOURS Argyle are to pay £200,000 for Crewe's Charlie Kirk. Joseph Mills incoming from Forest Green next week. Bury's ex player Danny Mayor has been at Ipswich Town, having FACTUALLY been made an offer by Argyle yesterday
Bit of a mish-mash of players there......good to hear Luke Jephcott has signed his new contract.....last one to do it.
So Danny Mayor has been at Ipswich today.....I would think they can offer a better financial package than us....plus Div 1 football. Tranmere have supposed to have been interested as well....Mayor has spent time there on loan I believe...and it's near his present home. Will Lowe be able to tempt him to come down west and work with his old gaffer and his old management team....should know by the weekend. We do need some serious quality players to take the place of Carey, Lameiras and Ladapo....or else it will be a very dour season.
Better. We do need to get cracking in the acquisition stakes though. Some of the youngsters signing on for us have a decent write up about them and maybe just maybe Lowe is a manager who gives youth a chance. If you are good enough then you are old enough as the saying goes. Lalos was scoring for fun last season in the minor games. But, a goal scorer if any good can score anywhere. Some of the others come highly recommended by some who have seen them so why not at Argyle for a change. Other clubs find very young players who flourish.
A very thrusting image of you leading the squad down to training yesterday Lyndhurst. Keep up the good work! I didn't actually see you out there running around on the training pitch though.
