That is a shame because we know he can do well in L1 as he was the player who stood out in a very poor team that got relegated from L1. I wonder why he chose to g back to America. He could have easily got a championship club. But good luck to him.
Nice lifestyle in Colorado I'm sure! Good luck to him. Barton's trying to sign a couple of midfielders from Fleetwood apparently - Camps and Rossiter. Rossiter look interesting, because he played for Rangers for a while and he was on Liverpool's books too.
They should be well at home if they come with a sicknote attached. I believe that Rossiter Played for Glasgow Rangers at one point on loan, made the bench twice for Liverpool and played at the age of 17 for the first team in a cup match If Rovers want McCormick they have been old to make a formal bid for him
Midfielder Jordan Rossiter has joined on a 2 year deal for an undisclosed fee. He was Fleetwood’s captain but hasn’t played since October due to injury. Obviously Barton likes him as Rossiter has played for him before so I hope the bloke stays fit and improves our midfield.
Second youngest goalscorer for Liverpool, behind Michael Owen He looks a very good signing as long as he's fit, and I like the idea of signing people who can lead on the pitch.
October?? Undisclosed fee too which make me a tad worried that we've paid a fee for him. Hopefully he is over his injury. Rossiter joined Rangers when Barton was there so they would have played together and seen each other in training. And obviously he joined Fleetwood when Barton was manager so they must get on well. Rossiter said on his arrival: "I can't wait to get started. I was aware that Rovers were interested in me as soon as the season finished and I'm really excited to be able to call myself a Rovers player. I've played at The Mem before but that was during the COVID season. I know just how special the atmosphere is there and I'm excited to experience it for the first time. I've worked alongside the manager before at Fleetwood and I know how ambitious both he and Rovers are!" Barton said on Jordan's signing: "We are delighted to welcome Jordan to Bristol Rovers. A player who I know very well, Jordan is a leader both on and off the pitch. His dynamic and combative style, combined with his excellent football ability, will strengthen us in our midfield area. I’m looking forward to working with Jordan again; he will be a superb addition to our group.”
Does seem crocked a lot in the past for such a young player but if he’s stays fit he looks like a good addition to the squad. And he’s our first signing of the new League One era, so welcome to the Gas Jordan!
Welcome to James Gibbons, right back who turned down a new contract at Port Vale to switch to the mighty Gas for the new League One season. Joey clearly liked what he saw from Gibbons when we played the Vale last term. Looks decent and adds competition and depth to the squad.
A lot of Vale fans are gutted he has left them. They said if we can keep him fit, he could easily be the best RB/RWB in L1. Sounds promising.
