I feel really sorry for Cantwell.

I think he has looked the real deal when he has played. Now, he doesn't even fit in to the pointless formulaic 88+ minutes triple subs.

He was so good. He's not even getting a token 2 minutes from the bench!

If we win Farke keeps the same 11 unfortunately for Cantwell both wingers are on fire and we have Leitner and Vrancic on the bench.

No room for sentimentality if you want to win the League

Yep. That's why I feel sorry for him. He did so well. But can't get in. Same as our player of the months who got injured. They now only get 2 minutes of action per game. Despite being our best players until they got injured. Which wasn't their fault.

Plus the fact playing the same players for 88 minutes every game, is showing signs of mental fatigue. The Hull game was yet another example of that. Just take a tired, under performing player off at 78th minute rather than 88th minute. Especially when 3-1 up against a poor side. If we took off the knackered players who looked poor, I don't think we have to drag out a 3-2 win. Noone even bothered to get near Martin for his goal. You deal with that in the conference.

McLean has played well since getting his opportunity scoring important goals and I find it difficult to criticise any of Farke's decisions personally.

Just shows the strength in depth we have , you could feel sorry for Klose and Hanley losing their places too.
    I don't.

Don't tinker with a winning team seems to be working judging by results and league position.

Yep. Again. Not saying his line ups are wrong.

I think he should protect players by bringing them off when a game is won, and giving minutes to star players who are only out of the team through injury.

Agree with this. It's one thing to stay with a winning team but subs should be taking the pressure off players feeling the strain. Concentration also drops with fatigue and that could have been a factor in Hull's second goal. We have a good, deep squad and should use it.

Which of the back 4 would you have substituted?

I agree re team selection and I think Ranieri kept the same starting 11 at Leicester for something like 10 consecutive games.
MB in yesterday’s match report was advocating bringing players off at say 70-5 minutes, ESPECIALLY when you have excellent replacements on the bench.
Sadly, I can see TC leaving us, as he’s unlikely to get much game time.

Loan to a championship club would be good but only if we can get him to sign. Surely he can see we as good a bet as any to get game time in the PL when he's ready.

    Bah!

The guy who penned that, Indian sounding name, regularly produces a name and says this is the player we should sign. Would guess he is a would be journo practicing fairy stories training for the future.

If we really are looking at him, it wouldn't be to compete with Max. Veltman doesn't have the pace for that system. He's more of a CB anyway. There's no way he'd bomb forward and whip a cross in. More likely CB options, or if Klose doesn't sign a new deal.

He is a very good CB though.

Being Canaries, do we "swoop" more than other teams? For instance, do Sunderland mainly "prowl" or "stalk" their players I wonder?
