Exactly sums up my feelings too on Rhodes. Re. Idah, I also hope he stays. I wouldn't be surprised to see him called up into the RoI senior squad at some point this season. They desperately need new options at the front. Either way, any game time for us is going to be supplemented by international appearances for the Republic, at U21 level at least.
Well that's the window "slammed shut". Pretty happy with our business, addressed every area of the squad I felt needed it. Nice to see rivals such as Newcastle making "buzzer beater" signings like Andy Carroll.
Sessegnon to Spurs seems the most obvious, protracted transfer in history. He's been linked every window for about 4 or 5 years. It just seems a perfect fit. The type of Transfer Spurs make, the type of Player Poch will massively improve. I think he has a fantastic future ahead with Poch and Spurs.
I thought they were huge Newcastle fans ? Darren Eadie left for Leicester and ended his career. Ashley Ward similar. Dean Ashton left for West Ham ended his career The Murphy's both in the wilderness Sutton is one of the few that left us and had a good career . Add to that Fox Ryan Bennett Surman and Ruddy but we wanted the last 3 off the books. I'm guessing our kids are on fairly good money and will be playing games . If we stay up then England call ups will follow.
He only started playing for Fulham 1st team 3 years ago don't remember much transfer talk before then
Bellamy knees destroyed by Muscat never recovered after we sold him. Green won a European cup without playing got relegated with Hamners I think
They both had decent careers in the premier league. Green played for England at a World Cup (not very well admittedly).
And this will be the sole criterion that many so-called 'expert pundits' base their predictions on. This is interesting, too. https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/steve-sanders-numbers-game-1-6206426
Thanks Cromer and it is an excellent article. 'Fail to win that first home game against Newcastle and we're looking at the kind of disaster movie intro you need Tom Cruise to fix, right? Well just hold on there, because Norwich City don't tend to do good starts - anyone paying attention to our two seasons under Daniel Farke will know this - and when they do it tends to herald the falsest of false dawns. In the last four Premier League seasons, they won their first match in game two in 2015/16 (relegated) and game three in 2013/14 (relegated). The two of those where they stayed up, it took them until the fifth game in 2011/12 and not until game eight, that famous 1-0 win over Arsenal, in 2012/13. If by September the season hasn't clicked into third gear, don't panic. '
Didn't see this one coming - https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-louis-thompson-shrewsbury-town-loan-1-6219683 Season long loan.
With Amadou we are well stocked in the DM position. If LT is fit enough to be taken on loan then it has to be the best thing for him. He desperately needs a good spell injury free and playing to see if that potential can ever get realised. Bah!
