    Gazprom, who already sponsor Zenit, Schalke, Red Star, and the UEFA CL aswell, so its no wonder at all that UEFA will not investigate Chelsea.

    They also sponsor the Russian football team.

    Now, correct me if I missed something, but wasn't there a hold-up in our ENIC takeover as they also had stakes in Rangers, AEK Athens, Vicenza, Basel and Slavia Prague?

    They get round it with sponsorship, takeovers would be scrutinised I would imagine, re Enic I think I've read that it went ahead because they didn't have controlling interest in the other clubs, might be wrong.

    If deals like the Etihad and Gazprom one are allowed to stand as is, then FFP won't just fail to help, it'll actually hinder competition.
    It was never going to work, anyway.
