I see a 3-1 to us and we'll all be so pissed off we didn't turn up form Jan - April and didn't turn up in the FA Cup Semi.

With both Redmond and Minamino being fairly quiet over the past couple of games, surely Tella has to start this one. Hoping it is instead of Minamino although I understand we pay less for him if we play him more so perhaps not.
It would be interesting to find out the exact wording of Minamino's contract. Is payment (to Liverpool) dependent on Minamino's actual minutes on the pitch, or on Minnie being named on the team sheet? Could we put him down as first choice, then sub him off after 5 minutes? It would lessen our options for substitutions later on, but it would fulfil the requirement to pick him, whilst keeping him off the pitch as much as possible.
Is that a polite way of saying nothing but an 'effing' liability? Agree Tella should start this game.
Steve Grant suggested this approach on the TSP. I don’t think there’s any way Ralph would limit his substitution options like that. Hopefully he’s seen enough of Minamino by now to take the view that whatever the loan fee arrangements, he’s just not worth a starting place whereas Tella most definitely is.
Haha, it would also show us as untrustworthy pricks and I can't imagine any clubs will be too keen on loaning us their players in the future.
A rather special matchday today with the return of our supporters. For those of you going take care and let us hope we get a win to keep this momentum going.
Despite our recent upturn in form and results, I think this will be a step too far for us at the moment. Wolves are away to Everton and Palace are at home to Arsenal, so the exciting race for 12th place may still be wide open going into the final game.
In fairness, 12-14th is about where we are. 12th would actually be a pretty decent season with this squad, despite everything that's happened.
I'm not disagreeing that 12th would represent a pretty good season all things considered! My comments about the race for 12th place being exciting is a bit tongue in cheek really because yes I would like us to finish as high as possible, but it ultimately it doesn't really matter whether we finish 12th or 17th. Don't know how much the few million difference in prize money will impact us in the summer. You would hope it wouldn't make any difference in our aims or ability in the transfer market.
Maybe a few places up or down doesn't affect our transfer plans in terms of the size of the fees, but a few million up or down impacts the wages we can offer. If we are after one or two loaners, which is likely, just one place higher could make all the difference.
