Did he score the goal that sent Leeds down? If so, I can see the rest of the county being fully behind him...
One of the joys of International breaks is foreign players telling their national press that they're leaving their current employers as soon as anyone any good makes them an offer. Today's departee is Hammers' forward line, Marko Arnautovic (via his brother)... “Marko is really enjoying playing for West Ham. He loves that club and the fans. But there is still that feeling, that this cannot be the end. And everybody should understand that.” Asked if it was possible Arnautovic could leave soon, his brother added: “That’s possible. It was already very, very close this last summer.”
Fabian Delph will captain England tomorrow! He's clearly earned that by performing brilliantly in the 362 minutes of club football that he's played this season. That's less than half of Harry Winks' total and quite a bit less than Danny Rose, who's been injured for months.
It's doing my head in shrek is all over the news on tv and radio anybody would think it's an important match.he retired and it should be left like that it's got well over hyped now.
After tonight his career in front line football is over and he'll disappear into the background. His inclusion makes tonight's game a farce, more of a testimonial than a proper game.
Harry Kane's had to give up the number 10 shirt to Rooney for this match. That's fine, as long as he doesn't actually play.
South Korea is playing a friendly against Oz tomorrow night and i heard on the radio their 2 main overseas stars have not made the long trip downunder. Namely Son and Ki. Although iIwould have liked to see Sonny play here the right decision has been made to leave him out so he can get a proper rest.
Good news for us but an odd decision from Korea, considering they're also missing Hwang Hee-chan due to injury and didn't call up Lee Seung-woo as he's not getting many games for Verona this season, making it practically a b-team Meanwhile, in Belgium...FULL BACKS!!!
Impressive start by England - especially Dele who has looked really sharp. Lingard has been the least Impressive but gets a lovely goal
Playing Winksy and Delph is a bit unnecessary but the team's playing some lovely progressive football.
Couldn't help noticing the lack of black players for the USA. Is this a thing? Without having any stats to hand, my feeling is that ethnic players tend to be over-represented in US sports and teams. You wouldn't find a basketball, baseball or US football team this white! Soccerball seems to be completely the opposite. So could someone with US knowledge advise?
I've no great knowledge but it has a history of being collegiate and quite white collar with soccer mom's, outside areas with large hispanic populations.
