Duncan Castles tweeting about us without saying that Dani Alves' arrival is imminent?

Ireland v Wales sees Doherty go up against Davies.
The Welsh have decided that wearing red is a bad idea, so they're using their yellow and green kit against Ireland's green and gold. <doh>

I really wanna get behind Southgate but ****ing hell that team is an utter mess.

7 defensive players, 3 right backs, no out and out wide man and zero creativity.

Team sheet is in the tweet I posted in my comment, I presume it’s going to look something like:

    Pickford
    Walker, Maguire, Dier
    Trent, Rice, Henderson, Tripps
    Mount
    Rashford, Calvert-Lewin

Feels like Poch’s team selection against Colchester... But even worse.

All the excitement is on the bench.

A team obviously attempting to completely choke the
attacking MF force of Belgium. Cannot even play Vardyball
as he "retired" (due to Kane) .

So many questions - Firstly if Kane is injured why is he on the bench, next Grealish why just why, can't understand why he is missing today. Saka played well on Thursday today dropped today so that a RB can be played on wrong side leaving us with one left footed player in the team (Pickford). Totally unbalanced team and lacking in players to make something happen. Southgate has plenty of credit in the bank, but if this is like the Denmark game again that is going to start to run out quite quickly a big Belgian win today is not out of the question when you at the domestic form of our defenders and GK.

That team is the football equivalent of Beige paint, a korma curry or a Ford Ka
Not even going to watch it

Now we can see why he missed that penalty.

Should be 2-0 there was nothing wrong with the goal that got disallowed. Dier has been complete ****, I hope he is getting it all out of the way before next weekend

He's just continuing his league form for England, lol.

I miss those prime Jan and Toby days, far cry from the dross we've got now with post-prime Toby, Dier and Sanchez.

I agree mate, it’s the one weak area of our team. I don’t think any of them are terrible but compared to what we used to have and the rest of our team it really is the weakest area by far and could cost us making too 4. I don’t think that Rodon is the answer either. We need a tried and tested big signing of a defender in their prime. Happy to get Rodon as well for the future but he’s not worth more than £10 million from what I’ve seen

A little hint for Gary Southgate: If you pick three right-backs and no left-back, then you may have ****ed up. <ok>

So far this is going as expected with the team that he has put out. I really don’t understand why occasionally managers pick teams that even a complete idiot could see before the game that it wasn’t going to work!

I don't rate any of them any more. In an ideal world I'd accept low ball offers for Toby and Dier and would accept what we paid or just under for Sanchez and have a rebuild of the CB area. I look at our squad now after the work Jose/ Levy/ Hitchen have done and I've massively grown in optimism since the end of last season but those CBs I fear are what will cost us.

Honestly amazed Dier is still getting picked for England, Coady/ Mings/ Tarkowski are all better in my opinion, probably Keane too. Really disappointed at how bad of a player Dier has become, used to be one of my favourite players at the club... Obviously <laugh>

Nice dive by Henderson to win a penalty. Sure the pundits will say how clever he is to go down though

To say we are getting the run of the green in this match is an understatement! Belgium have been so much better
