and then re-announced on Sunday night when injured players pull out. Doing this on a Thursday before a week-end of games is bollocks. IF, and it's a BIG if, Maguire does get the nod it'll wobble his head for Saturday. Why not just announce it on Sunday night?
I'm not sure Harry's chances have taken a denting considering he'd be brought into the squad for the experience, not to actually play. If he was in the manager's plans recently, he'll still be in them.
Defoe's back in the England squad. Ward-Prowse also expected to get his first senior call-up. No news on Harry yet.
I'm 100% certain they do it on purpose. I bet Livermore wouldn't get a call-up if he was still here. John Stones being in the squad is a ****ing disgrace, but he plays for Man City. Great stuff on Tymon though. Well done lad.
But Livermore has been very average this season. Unless he's put in some impressive MOM's for WBA recently - but I doubt that. Strange decision.
It's quite laughable really. Sorry but there's no way Jake should be anywhere near that England squad. I'd have much preferred either Harry Winks or Tom Davies to be in there instead. Don't agree with Defoe being in there either, hoped we were building for the future, not relying on 34 year olds.
With Henderson been out, I think Southgate has just gone down the league table and included the first English CM under 30 by process of elimination. If West Ham were 8th he'd have probably gone for Mark Noble...
