Not a great week for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland ...

And that's before Scotalnd get pumped by Portugal

Glad Griffiths pulled out of squad as he is right , he needs to work on his fitness as he is defo not as sharp as he used to be .

Once he's fit, I think him and Eddie will form a great partnership .

Is the nations league a good format ?

McLeish making an utter **** of it as expected.

Strachan realised the foundation of the team should be Celtic players and McLeish has thrown that out the windae. How the **** can Gordon, Griff and Forrest not be 1st choice starters?

The sooner big Eck gets his jotters the better imho.

There is a choice to be made at LB...Tierney or Robertson (for me, Robertson is a better)

Midfield should have McGregor and Forrest as starters .

The thumb when fit and playing is first choice .

Too be fair tho , McGregor is a better keeper than Gordon .

Never understood the criticism that Forrest used to get from certain sections of the Celtic support. As a young player playing in his position he was always going to be inconsistent especially under a manager like Deila who, although he enjoyed moderate success, never really instilled a great deal of confidence throughout the team.

If some had had their way Forrest would have been punted two seasons and another team would have been reaping the rewards.

In saying that I was completely wrong about Christie. Didn't think he was good enough to make it at Celtic but he's proving me wrong this season. Apparently he played well last night though I didn't see the game having basically given up on Scotland.

Always liked James Forrest & recognized that he was a 'confidence' type of player from early on. He was frustrating to watch under that arsehole, Deila, who knocked him back bigtime (& drained fans' confidence as much as the players'!) but Brendan Rodgers' man-management skills have obviously brought Forrest back to his best - he's certainly on fire at the moment & hopefully will keep up this superb run of form! As for Christie, I was wrong too - thought he wasn't quite good enough as well but bhoy has he stepped up! Great to have him on board - like having a new player, every bit as good as Armstrong and hopefully will be even better.
